Are you or a loved one:

• Unable to pay your rent on your current income?
• Choosing between paying for rent/utilities and food?
• Facing homelessness due to a disability?
• Struggling to provide adequate housing for your children?

CCHA assistance is based on your total household income, but you don’t have to figure all of that out before calling us. We will work with you to determine what program(s) you qualify for. If you answered “yes” to any of the questions above, or are in a similar situation, we would like to talk to you today.

Call us at (814) 355-6750 to take the next step.

Who qualifies for housing assistance?

Centre County Housing Authority’s affordable housing programs are based on incomes for the area. Many of the rules and regulations for affordable housing programs are set at the federal level by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. They look at information about a certain area, like Centre County, to see how much money people make, how much apartments cost to rent and how much it costs to live there. They use all of that data to determine people’s need for assistance with their housing costs.

The easiest way to find out if you qualify for housing assistance is to call the CCHA at (814) 355-6750. Dial 303 for Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8), dial 102 for Elderly & Accessible Housing and dial 200 for Project Based Vouchers and our Tax Credit programs.

If you’re interested in seeing the income limits for different programs, call the CCHA at (814) 355-6750.

The Centre County Housing Authority strives to maintain
affordable housing options for the citizens of Centre County.
Our goal is to provide a secure, clean, and comfortable living
environment for all of our residents.
